Pre-Kindergarten Reading Program

Play Date is excited to announce Pre-k Reading courses with Mrs. Jennifer Robson.

Jennifer Robson is a graduate from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Education and received her Master’s degree in reading from East Carolina University. She is a trained Reading Recovery teacher as well as a former Literacy Collaborative Coordinator for grades K-12.

Jennifer believes that children learn best in small group environments that are fun, positive and child centered. Songs, big books, interactive writing, read alouds and guided reading using small level books will be used to teach your child phonemic awareness, phonics and early reading and writing skills. Your child will feel like a successful reader and writer from day one!

Class fees: $85 for a first time attendee. This price includes registration, materials fee, and Play Date fee for the hour. There is no extra cost during the hour for class.
$75 for returning students. This price includes a materials fee and play Date fee for the hours.

*If you child would like to come early or stay late they will be signed into Play Date.

Reading Program Schedule:
The Glenburnie location now provides a sperate classroom area that provides a sperate entrance and quiet classroom environment.

Tuesday 12:30-1:20 and 1:30 – 2:20 at the new Glenburnie location.
Thursday 12:30 –1:20 and 1:30 – 2:20 at the Airport Rd. location

Music and Movement – Theme programs that incorporate body awareness and educational foundations of various topics. Toddlers and Pre- K children will enjoy songs, musical instruments, stretching, and basic yoga postures. No Registration or extra fees - you just pay for the Play Date time ($6.50 for the first and $3.00 for the second child and third child)
Tuesdays at 10:15 - 11:00 am at the Airport location
Wednesdays at 1:00 – 1:45 at Glenburnie (New class added for all our preschool friends)
Thursdays at 10:15 –11:00 am at the Glenburnie location

Mommy Pilates/Yoga Fusion Class – This will take place in our new recreational room and will provide mommies with morning yoga and pilates while their children have socialization with other children. Mary Kathryn Harris with Green Bear Fitness will be leading the class. (Child care provided by Play Date, children must be at least 12 months of age to attend Play Date)
Classes will be each week on Wednesdays from 9:30 – 10:30 at our Glenburnie location.
Fees for the class are:
$45 per month for a mother and two children
$40 per month for a mother and one child
$30 per month for a Single adult to attend
These prices include your child care during your Mommy Pilates/Yoga Fusion Class.

Smiling Yoga for Children Class - Class time are Thursdays at Glenburnie from 1:00 – 1:45
This will be located in our Recreational room as well. Fees are $35 per month.
